My
name is Michael Johansson, a.k.a. "Micke J".
I am a Swedish
photographer, specialized in rock/pop photography. I
was based in Stockholm for most of my career.
I shot my first
band back in May 1981. Since 1984 I have been doing
this full time. My photographs have been published in
thousands of magazines, LP/CD covers, books, etc., all
over the world.
I've had the
pleasure to work with Deep Purple, Europe, Kiss, Guns
N' Roses, Ace of Base, Malmsteen, Sabaton, Hardcore
Superstar, Ghost, Roxette, Soundgarden, Alice Cooper,
Michael Monroe, Bon Jovi, In Flames, The Foo Fighters,
Metallica, Motley Crue, Gary Moore... just to name a
few.
Besides, I have
photographed nature in the US National Parks, Sweden
and France. I will show some of those photographs on
this website in the future (a few samples are already
there). Fine art prints will be available.
I'm now living in
Provence (South-East of France) with my wife Padz, who
is also a photographer and a visual artist. I spend my
time scanning
my archives and photographing nature. I'm still
open to a few collaborations.
